The Mahayuti government of Maharashtra has launched this scheme with primary goal of supporting women belonging to EWS and low income group families in the state. Under this scheme, a monthly monetary support of Rs. 1500/- will be provided to each eligible women. This will enable about 1 crore women to become self dependent. Eligibility Criteria

- Applicant must have permanent/original residency in the state of Maharashtra.
- Benefits of the scheme will be provided only to women belonging to Economically Weaker Section or Low income group.
- Annual family income of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 2.5 lakhs from all sources.
- All Married, widowed, divorced, abandoned and destitute women in the state and only one unmarried woman in the family will be eligible for benefits under this scheme.
- The age of the applicant must be between 21 and 65.
- Applicant should own a bank account in her name and the same should be linked with Aadhar.
Who are not eligible?
Women belonging to one of the following will not be eligible to get benefits of Maharashtra Ladki Bahin Scheme.
- Women whose combined family income is more than Rs.2.50 lakhs.
- Women whose family member is an income tax payer.
- Whose family members are working as one of the following:
- Regular / permanent employees in a Government Department / Undertaking / Board / Government of India or a local body of a State Government or are drawing pension after retirement.
- However, Outsourced employees, voluntary workers and contract workers with income up to Rs. 2.50 lakh will be eligible.
- Women already receiving Rs. 1500/- or more from other department of the state government will not be eligible.
- Women Whose family member is a present or former MP/MLA.
- Whose family member is Chairman / Vice-Chairman / Director / Member of Board / Corporation / Undertaking of Government of India or State Government.
- Women from Those families who own a four-wheeler (excluding tractor) registered in the name of their family members.
