Financial Benefits

- The second time the interest amount can be withdrawn only when the girl child reaches the age of 12 years.
- A joint bank account is necessary to be opened in the name of mother and daughter in which the deposit amount is deposited and the benefit of accident insurance cover of Rs 1 lakh and overdraft of Rs 5,000 is also given.
- Under this scheme, the deposit amount can be withdrawn along with interest when the girl child reaches the age of 18 years, she passes 10th and is unmarried.
- This benefit is given only to those families who have only one child who is a daughter or two children who are daughters. The benefit of this scheme will not be given if there are three children.
