The Government of India has started the PM Internship Scheme in the interest of the youth to connect them with employment skills and training. The main objective of this scheme is to provide more than one crore youth of the country an opportunity to work in big companies and corporate institutions in 25 different sectors and to get work-related skill training.   • The applicant must be a permanent resident citizen of India.
  • The age of the applicant should be between 21 and 24 years.
  • The applicant should not be in any full-time employment.
  • The applicant must not be pursuing any regular education course.
  • The applicant must have completed one of the following:
    • Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or Its equivalent
    • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) or its equivalent

Candidates will not be eligible to enrol in the PM Internship Scheme under the following conditions:

  • The age is either below 21 years or above 24 years as of the last date for application submission.
  • Currently engaged in full-time employment or full-time education.
  • Have studied from reputed educational institutions like IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, IISER, NIDs, or IIITs.
  • Having qualifications like CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, PhD, or any master’s or higher degree recognised by the UGC.
  • Undergoing any skill, apprenticeship, internship, or training program under a Central or State Government scheme.
  • Already completed an apprenticeship under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
  • If the annual income of any of the family members exceeds 8.00 lacs for the previous financial year.
  • If any member of the family is a government servant in central and state departments, Union Territory administrations, Central and State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), statutory organisations, and local bodies.
