Launch of Namo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana 2024
Namo Shetkari Scheme was launched in 2023 by the Mahayuti government of Maharashtra. Chief Minister Mr. Eknath Shinde launched this scheme with a view to supplement farmers’ income by providing direct monetary support. This is a DBT scheme mandating online transfer of benefits to beneficiaries. Through this scheme, Maharashtra government will assist farmers with INR 6,000 annually. Amount of benefit will be transferred into the bank account of beneficiaries in 3 equal installments. Pre-requisites to receive benefits
- Beneficiary must have Aadhar card in their names.

Farmers families falling under one of the following categories are not eligible for Namo Shetkari Yojana.
- All Institutional Land holders.
- Farmer families with one or more of its members belong to following categories:
- Former and present holders of constitutional post.
- Former and present Ministers/ State Ministers and former/ present Members of Parliament (Lok Sabha/ Rajya Sabha)/ State Legislative Assemblies/ State Legislative Councils.
- Former and present Mayors of Municipal Corporations.
- Former and present Chairpersons of District Panchayats.
- All serving or retired officers and employees of Central/ State Government Ministries /Offices/Departments and its field units Central or State PSEs and Attached offices /Autonomous Institutions under Government.
- Regular employees of the Government Local Bodies (Excluding Multi-Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees).
- All superannuated/retired pensioners receiving pension @ Rs.10,000/-or more per month (Excluding Multi Tasking Staff / Class IV/Group D employees).
- All Persons who paid Income Tax in last assessment year.
- Professionals like Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, Chartered Accountants, and Architects registered with Professional bodies and carrying out profession.
- Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).
Namo Shetkari Yojana Apply Online 2024
Farmers can do registration for Namo Shetkari Yojana. The process involves some easy online steps on the official portal of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. See below how you can register for Namo Shetkari Scheme online.
- For the first, go to the official portal of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi.
- The home page of the website will appear on your screen.
- On the right pan, click on New Farmer Registration.
- On the next page, you have to select one of these two (1) Rural Farmer Registration, and (2) Urban Farmer Registration.
- Select one of the following as per your residential status.
- Enter your Aadhar Number, Mobile number, select the state, fill in captcha code and click on the Get OTP button.
- An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
- Enter the OTP in the designated field and click Submit.
- Next, enter your basic details and complete the registration.
- After your registration is complete, you will receive a notification on the registered phone number.
Process after application
- Your application will undergo duly verification at different levels.
- Taluka Nodal Officer will verify and forward the application with recommendation to the District nodal officer.
- District Nodal officer will again verify the details from the government data base and forward the application to state nodal officer.
- State nodal officer will provide the final approval to the application.
- Once it is approved by the state nodal officer, you will start receiving benefit of Namo Shetkari Yojana from the next installment payment.
