  • The family income of the bride should not be more than INR 10,000 per month in rural areas and INR 12,000 per month in urban areas.
  • No family member of the bride should be an income tax payee.
  • No member of the family should be a government servant or pensioner.
  • No family member of the bride should own a four-wheeler (Except Taxi, Tractor, and Auto)
  • Financial assistance will be provided only in the case of the first marriage.

Application Process for Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Scheme 2024

All the eligible applicants can submit their applications through the online portal. Currently, no dedicated portal has been launched for the scheme. Once it is launched and online applications for marriage assistance are invited, one can visit the official website and fill out the application form online. Filling out an online application form would require the following process to be performed by the bride.

  • For the first, visit the Chandranna Pelli Kanuka official website within sixty days of marriage.
  • The home page of the website will appear on your screen.
  • After you land on the home page of the website, you have to click on the Apply Now button to proceed further.
  • On the next page, provide your Aadhar number, fill in the Captcha code, and click Next.
  • You will land on the online application form.
  • Fill out the online application form with mandatory information, including personal details, marriage details, address, bank account details, caste certificate details, etc.
  • Scan and upload the necessary documents related to the bride and the groom in the said file format and size.
  • Once you do all the above steps, move ahead with the final submission.
  • Your application will be submitted successfully, and a confirmation message will be sent to your mobile number.

Post-application process

  • Field verification would be conducted for all the submitted applications.
  • The WEA/WWDS shall conduct field verification and complete the process of eKYC of the bride, groom, and mother of the bride, and also upload the necessary documents.
  • Then thereafter, the application would be forwarded to the MPDO/MC with a recommendation from the field verification officer.
  • After proper verification at the MPDO office, the application will be forwarded further to PD-DRDA.
  • PD-DRDA will verify the application and forward the same to the district collector.
  • After the application is approved by the district collector, it will be sent to the respective State Welfare Corporations.
  • After all the above steps are performed successfully, the amount of benefit will be transferred into the bank account of the bride’s mother or the bride.
