What is Mizoram Bana Kaih (Handholding) Scheme 2024?
Mizoram Bana Kaih Policy was launched on September 19, 2024, by Chief Minister Mr. Lalduhoma. The policy will continue for the initial 5 years with an outlay of INR 200 crores from financial year 2024-25 to financial year 2029-2030. The policy envisages to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by mobilising resources efficiently and optimally in the state. The main aim behind launching this initiative is to gain rapid socio-economic growth for Mizoram and transform it into a fully developed state.
The policy has a component named Chief Minister Special Package Grant (CMSPG), which is a financing instrument to provide financial support up to a maximum of INR 1.00 lakh to the progress partners. Progress partners are the citizens of Mizoram who will participate in this socio-economic drive. This is an all-inclusive, all-pervasive, and holistic development project launched in Mizoram.

- The Bana Kaih Initiative has been brought into force to encourage citizens to actively participate in the development of Mizoram by mobilising resources in an efficient manner and providing training and market support, among others.
