Launch of Odisha CM Kisan Scheme 2024
In 2024, Mohan Charan Majhi was sworn in as Chief Minister of Odisha by gaining a majority in the state assembly election. The honourable chief minister decided to continue the KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) Scheme under a new name called Odisha CM Kisan Scheme 2024. Through the Odisha CM Kisan Scheme, the state government offers direct financial assistance to farmers who are in small and marginal categories.
The scheme also encompasses landless agricultural households in rural areas. A total of INR 4,000 is offered to farmers per annum in two equal installments. Each instilment amounts to INR 2000 and is reimbursed before the sowing seasons of Rabi and Kharif. Eligible farmers can register themselves online on the portal.
