The Odisha Krishi Vidya Nidhi Scheme aims to offer scholarship assistance for higher education to the children of small and marginal farmers and landless agricultural households (LAHs) in Odisha. The primary goal of this scheme is to provide educational support to children from farming backgrounds, ensuring a bright and secure future for them. With the help of the Krishi Vidya Nidhi Scheme, children of farmers would gain education in courses like Medical, Engineering, Agriculture & Allied, Nursing, Diploma, and different trades in ITI, etc. and emerge out with the necessary skill and efficiency to empower the family and the state.

Scholarship Benefits
- For the students of government institutions, all fees, such as tuition fees, annual fees, one-time fees, hostel charges, and all other fees to be paid by students except caution money, will be reimbursed by the Odisha government.
- Reimbursement of the above fees will be made directly into the bank accounts of the students.
- For students who secure admission in premier government institutes like IIT, NIT, AIIMS, IIM, ICAR, IARI, IVRI, CIFE, NDRI, etc., the scholarship amount shall be as per the actual recommendation of the respective institutes or a maximum of INR 1.00 lakh per year, whichever is less.
- Students undertaking Ph.D.s for different technical and professional streams in government institutions inside the state shall receive scholarship amounts as per the actual prevalent fee structure of the respective institutes.
- In case a student is already receiving fellowship or assistance, the said amount will be deducted from the recommended course fees of the institute, and the balance amount will be disbursed as the Krishi Vidya Nidhi Scholarship.
- Further, the mess/hostel charges will be provided at a rate of INR 1200 per month for up to 10 months in a year to UG, PG, Ph.D., and premier government institute students. Students of Diploma/Polytechnic/ITI would receive INR 1000 per month for up to 10 months in a year as mess/hostel charges.

- For the first, you have to visit the Scholarship Odisha Official Portal.
- On doing so, you will reach the home page of the official website.
- On the home page, click on the Schemes option.
- On the next page, you will find several schemes.
- Navigate to the Krishi Vidya Nidhi Yojana and click on Apply Now.
- If you are already registered at the portal, you can login; if not, you have to click on the Register Now button.
- The one-time registration declaration page will open on your screen.
- Read and understand the instructions, tick the declaration box, and click Proceed.
- On the next, provide your Aadhar number and click on the Get OTP button.
