Odisha Government Schemes For Farmers

Samrudha Krushak Yojana

This scheme was launched in 2024 by Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi to procure paddy crops from farmers at reasonable rates. Under this scheme, the state government will procure paddy crops from farmers at INR 3100 per quintal. The scheme has been launched mainly for the small and marginal farmers of the state. CM Kisan Yojana

This is the new version of the KALIA (Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) that provides income support to farmers for growing crops. An amount of INR 4,000 is offered to farmers for two seasons, viz., Kharif and Rabi. The benefit is provided in two equal installments each of INR 2000 before Kharif and Rabi seasons. The amount of benefit is provided directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries. The main targeted beneficiaries of this scheme are small and marginal farmers in the state. Odisha Government Scheme for Women

The newly formed government in Odisha launched a women empowerment scheme called Subhadra Yojana in the state. The main vision behind this scheme is to provide income support to women from financially weak backgrounds. For this purpose, the government of Odisha has launched the Subhadra Yojana, which offers an amount of INR 10,000 per annum to all eligible women.

All women whose annual family income is not more than INR 2.5 lakh can avail of this scheme. Amounts of benefit will be transferred in two equal installments, each of INR 5,000. Madhu Babu Pension Yojana

This is a state-sponsored scheme run by the Odisha government to provide social security to the most vulnerable citizens of the state. With the help of this scheme, the government of Odisha provides a monthly pension to the aged, widows, leprosy persons, AIDS-affected persons, persons with disabilities, single women, etc. The Madhu Babu Pension scheme covers those citizens who are not covered under any pension scheme of the Government of India.

Gopabandhu Jan Arogya Yojana

This is a health insurance scheme to provide health security to citizens at no cost. Under this scheme, health insurance coverage of INR 5.00 lakh is provided to each eligible family in rural areas, whereas in urban areas it is INR 6.00 lakh per family per annum. Odisha Government Scholarship Schemes

The government of Odisha runs several scholarship schemes to provide scholarship assistance to students from all backgrounds. All students who belong to financially weak backgrounds and cannot afford to receive an education are helped with scholarship grants by the Government of Odisha.   • The scholarship amount under post-matric is provided to those students only whose parental/family income is not more than 2.50 lakh per annum.
  • The Post-matric Scholarship scheme covers courses such as Plus 2, Plus 3, Accountancy, Agriculture & Allied Sciences, Animal Husbandry, Applied Art & Craft, Architecture, Ayurveda, etc.

Shahid Madho Singh Haath Kharcha Scheme

  • This is a one-time grant scheme that offers financial assistance of INR 5000 to tribal students at secondary and higher secondary levels of education.
  • Under this scheme, one-time monetary encouragement is provided to all tribal students who get admitted to Class IX and Class XI.
