CM Nijut Moina Scheme: The assam chief minister announced the Nijut Moina Scheme to support girl education and curb child marriage in the state. The scheme has been launched with a view to providing scholarship assistance for higher-secondary and higher education up to post-graduate level. Now, with the help of this scheme, girl students of the state will be able to continue their studies without financial hardships. The scheme will provide a monthly scholarship assistance of Rs. 1000 per month to students at higher secondary level, i.e., 10+2.
Whereas students at studies in graduation level will be provided a monthly scholarship of Rs. 1250 per month. For postgraduate and B.Ed. courses, the rate of scholarship will be Rs. 2500 per month. CM Nijut Moina Scheme Benefits and Key Features 2024
This scheme will be implemented by the higher education department of the Assam government, which, with the assistance of educational institutions, will distribute the scholarship benefits to eligible girl students. Here we are providing details about scholarship grants provisioned for each level of education for girl students in the state of Assam under the CM Nijut Moina Scheme.
For Higher Secondary Education (10+2):
- Rs. 1000 per month for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year.
- Rs. 10,000 per year during 2 years of course.
- No scholarship grant during long holidays, June, and July months of the year.
- Amount to be transferred directly to the student.
For Graduation (B.A., B.Com., B.Sc.)
- Rs. 1,250 per month for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year.
- Rs. 12,500 per year during 3 years of course.
- No scholarship grant during long holidays, June, and July months of the year.
- Amount to be transferred directly to the student’s bank account.
For Post-Graduation (M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., B.Ed.)
- Rs. 2,500 per month for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year.
- Total 25,000 per year during 2 years of course.
- No scholarship grant during long holidays, June, and July months of the years.
- The amount will be transferred directly into the bank account of the student.
CM Nijut Moina Scheme Eligibility 2024
Following are the eligibility conditions for the CM Nijut Moina Scheme.
- All girl students permanently residing and domiciled in the state of Assam, irrespective of their economic status.
- The girl students must be admitted to government and venture educational institutions.
- The scholarship grant will be available for girls taking admission into intermediate (10+2), degree courses, and postgraduation, including B.Ed.
Exclusions
- Married girls will not be eligible (except those in the P.G. and B.Ed. categories).
- In-service girls enrolled in B.Ed. courses on deputation will not be eligible.
- Daughter(s) of Ministers, MPs, and MLAs will not be eligible.
- Girls receiving scholarships (scooter) as part of the Banikanta Kakati Award under the Pragyan Bharati Scheme will not be eligible. Avoiding the scooty award will make them eligible.
CM Nijut Moina Scheme College List

CM Nijut Moina Scheme Application Process
To apply for a CM Nijut Moina Scheme scholarship, students need to submit their application form to their respective institute. Here is the process by which you can submit your application.
- For the first, you need to receive the CM Nijut Moina Application form from your college/school.
- Now fill in mandatory details in the required fields.
- Attach necessary documents to it.
- Submit the duly filled-out application form along with the required documents to the Nodal Teacher/Professor of your institute.
- Then, the same will be forwarded to the principal or head of the institute.
- Then, thereafter, your application will be next forwarded to the registrar with comments from the head of the institute.
- The registrar will verify and accept the application for the scholarship grant.
- Once all the above formalities are done, you will start receiving your scholarship into your bank account.
