Maza Ladka Bhau Yojana has been announced by the Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on July 17, 2024. Along with presenting the budget for 2024-25 for the state, the Maharashtra government has also announced the launch of several schemes. Maza Ladka Bhau scheme is one among such schemes started by the state government of Maharashtra. Under this scheme, educated youth of Maharashtra who are facing the problem of unemployment will get various vocational and technical training. Aim and Objectives
The first objective of the Maharashtra government behind starting this scheme is to develop better skills and work system among the youth of the state and make them eligible for employment. For the purpose, the state government will provide proper training to the youth. By getting training from this scheme, the youth will get practical knowledge which will give them work and recognition in different professional and technical fields of employment. Through the Ladka Bhau Yojana, the government will train about 10 lakh youth every year and prepare them for employment. This will help in dealing with the problem of unemployment among the youth in the state and the economic development of the state will also be rapid.

- The Mahayuti government of Maharashtra has started the Majhi Ladka Bhau Yojana to make the educated youth of the state eligible for employment by giving them vocational and technical training.

Financial Assistance under Ladka Bhau Yojana
- Under this scheme, the government will also give financial assistance allowance of Rs 10,000/- every month to the selected youth during the training so that the youth can get training successfully without any financial hindrance.
- Along with the training, the government will also give assistance allowance of Rs 6,000 every month to 12th pass youth, Rs 8,000 to ITI and Rs 10,000 to graduate.
- The youth will be able to use the financial assistance allowance amount for their personal, employment and education related fees.

Eligibility Criteria
- Only young citizens of Maharashtra who are natives of the state will be eligible for this scheme.
- Youth and students of the state will be eligible to apply for the Ladka Bhau Yojana.
- The age limit under the scheme is 18 to 35 years. Youth below 18 and above 35 years of age will not be eligible.
- The minimum educational qualification for Maharashtra Ladka Bhau Yojana is 12th. Apart from this, ITI, Diploma and Graduate youth will also be eligible to apply in it.
- Under this scheme, only those youth will get training who are unemployed.
- To get financial assistance allowance, it is necessary that the beneficiary has a bank savings account which should be linked to Aadhaar.
