Nijut Moina Scheme Form: Assam Chief Minister Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma has given a big support to girl education in the state and has started the Nijut Moina Scheme for the girls of the state. Through this scheme, the Assam government will provide financial assistance every month to more than 10 lakh daughters of the state for studying at higher secondary and higher education Level. About Nijut Moina Scheme Assam
Making a big announcement on 7 October 2024, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma launched the Nijut Moina Scheme with the aim of promoting women’s education in the state and preventing child marriage. Through this scheme, more than 10 lakh girls of the state will get financial assistance for higher secondary and higher education, so that they can complete their education and build a better future. To avail the benefits of this scheme, the girl students of the state will have to fill and submit the Nijut Moina Scheme form through their educational institution.

Nijut Moina Scheme Form Filling Benefits 2024
Under the Nijut Moina Scheme, the students filling the form will be provided scholarship by the state government. The amount of which has been determined differently for different education levels. Here we are providing information about the benefits of this scheme to the students during different levels of studies.
- Under the Nijut Moina Scheme, girls will be given monthly scholarship from 11th class to post graduation.
- The state government will provide a scholarship of Rs 1000 every month to the girl students studying in 11th class, which they will get for a maximum of 10 months in an academic year. That is, under this, these girls will receive a total scholarship of Rs 10,000 annually during their studies in Higher Secondary (10+2).
- Girls enrolled in graduation studies will get a scholarship of Rs 1,250 every month from this scheme, which will be given for a maximum of 10 months in a year, that is, a total scholarship of Rs 12,500 will be given in an academic year.
- Girls enrolled in post graduation (M.A., M.Com., M.Sc., B.Ed.) will receive financial benefit of Rs. 25,00 per month from the Government of Assam which they will get for 10 months of the year i.e. post graduation students will receive a total scholarship of Rs. 25,000 per year during their studies from this scheme.
- Under this scheme, scholarship will not be paid to the students during the months of June and July of the year.
- More than 10 lakh girls of the state will receive education assistance from Nijut Moina Scheme.
Eligibility to Fill Nijut Moina Scheme Form 2024
The Assam government has laid down some eligibility conditions for the Nijut Moin Scheme, on fulfilling which the girl students will be able to take advantage of it and complete their higher education. Here we are going to tell about the eligibility required to fill the Nijat Moin Scheme form, the details of which are as follows.
- The girl students should be a permanent residents in the state of Assam.
- The girl must have secured admission at higher secondary first year or graduation first year or post graduation/ B.Ed. first year in government and venture educational institutions in the state.
- All girl students taking admission as per the above criteria will be eligible to get benefit of the scheme irrespective of their economic status.
- Married girls (except those in the P.G. and B.Ed. category) will not be eligible for the scheme benefit.
- In-service girls who are admitted to B.Ed. course on deputation will not be eligible for scholarship benefit under the scheme.
- Daughter(s) of Ministers, MPs and MLAs will not be eligible to get scholarship benefit under Nijut Moina Aasoni.
- It will be mandatory for the girl students to maintain discipline and adhere to the norms of their respective educational institutions. Not doing so may lead to cessation of scholarship grant.
- Those girls receiving scooty as part of Banikanta Kakati Award under Pragyan Bharati Scheme can not apply under this scheme. However avoiding scooty benefit under Pragyan Bharati Scheme will make them eligible for Nijut Moina Scheme.

Nijut Moina Scheme Form Filling Process 2024
As per the notification issued under Higher Education Department of Assam Government, students have to do following steps in order to fill in application form for Nijut Moina Scholarship Scheme.
- For the first, collect the application form from the institutions you are enrolled in.
- Fill in mandatory fields with required information.
- Enclose necessary documents to it.
- Submit the application form to the nodal professor/teacher.
- The application will be further submitted to the principal who will later submit it to the registrar of the higher education department.
- On approval, the student will start receiving scholarship benefits under Nijut Moina Scheme.
- The applicant needs to follow the above process only once. From second year, a certificate from the head of the institution will be enough to continue availing of scheme benefits.

Till now, the higher education department of assam has not issued the application format under Nijut Moina Scheme. However, it is likely to be issued soon and the same will be made available to each eligible listed colleges of the state.
