PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 Revised
On 23rd of July 2024, the finance minister presented the revised budget for 2024-25 in the parliament in which several announcement were made by the honorable minister. About Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY)
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is a flagship scheme by the government of India which provides housing support to both rural and urban households who do not own pucca housing. The scheme has two components namely PMAY-U and PMAY-G through which the government provides financial support to needy households for affordable housing. - Beneficiary Led Construction Houses (BLS Houses) – In this category, construction of houses are done by the beneficiary himself.
- Affordable Housing in Partnership Houses (AHP Houses) – Construction of houses under this category takes place in partnership in which more than one flat can be constructed in partnership in common land.
- In-SITU SLUM Redevelopment Houses (ISSR Houses) – In this category, slum areas where households are living in slums can be shifted to new flats.

PM Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 Eligibility

- Urban households falling in the group of Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) with an annual household income Up to ₹3,00,000.
- Urban dwellers falling in Low Income Group (LIG) and have an annual income between ₹3,00,001 and ₹6,00,000.
- Urban families in the Middle Income Group-1 (MIG-1) with an annual household income between ₹ 6,00,001 and ₹ 12,00,000.
- Households falling in Middle Income Group-2 (MIG-2) with an annual family income between ₹ 12,00,001 and ₹ 18,00,000.
- The applicant or any of the family member must not be in the possession of a pucca house in anywhere in the country.
- As per the definition, a family consists of Husband, wife and minor children.
- The applicant family should be residing in the region where PMAY Urban is in the operation.
- Families already availed of any housing scheme under central or state government will not be eligible to get the benefit.

Online Application Through Official Website:
- For the first you have to go the official website of PMAY-U.
- The home page of the website will appear on your screen.
- On the home page click on Citizen Assessment’ option.
- Now select either “For Slum Dwellers” or “Benefits under other three components”.
- Enter your Aadhar number and you will be redirected to the online application form.
- Fill in mandatory details like your name, contact number, other personal details, bank account and income details in the online application form.
- Scan and upload necessary documents in the said file type and size.
- At the bottom of the page click on Save.
- Now enter the captcha code and click on Submit.
