Pyari Didi Yojana: Before the upcoming assembly election in the National Capital Territory of Delhi, the Congress Party has announced a new scheme for women citizens. The scheme is named the Pyari Didi Yojana through which the Congress Party will provide monthly financial benefits of INR 2500 to women from economically weaker backgrounds in Delhi. The announcement has been made to counter the Mahila Samman Yojana of the current Aam Admi Party led by Arvind Kejriwal. The scheme was announced on Monday, January 6, 2025 in an attempt to counter the Mahila Samman Scheme of the Aam Aadmi Party.

D. K. Shivakumar, the current deputy chief minister in the Karnataka Congress announced the scheme on 6 January 2025. The minister while briefing the press said that the scheme will be successfully implemented after the party secures a majority in the assembly election. The deputy CM also highlighted the success of guaranteed programs that were rolled out in Karnataka after winning the assembly election in the state. Above all the Pyari Didi Yojana has been announced only and its implementation depends on the results of the Delhi Assembly Election that is scheduled to be held before February 2025. In the election, if the Congress Party wins then only the scheme will be launched officially and applications will be invited.
