Launch of Subhadra Scheme 2024
Subhadra Yojana was announced by the Bharatiya Janata Party in its manifesto for the assembly elections in which it was said that financial assistance would be given to women in the state. After getting majority in the elections, the government was formed under the leadership of Shri Mohan Charan Majhi. Now, Prime Minister Modi flagged off the Subhadra Yojana on his birthday i.e. 17 September. On the occasion of PM Modi’s 74th birthday, Subhadra Yojana has been launched for the women of Odisha state.
Through this scheme, the Odisha government will provide financial assistance of Rs 10,000 annually to the economically weaker women of the state. This amount of financial assistance will be transferred directly to the beneficiaries’ bank account in two equal installments. Through this scheme, the Odisha government will provide monetary assistance of Rs 50,000 to the women of the state during the next 5 years.

- Subhadra Scheme has been launched by the Odisha government with the aim of providing economic empowerment to the women of the state.
- Under this scheme, eligible women of the state will be given monetary assistance of Rs 10,000 in two installments per year.
- The amount of each installment received in this way will be Rs 5,000 which will be transferred directly to the bank account of the beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer.

Subhadra Scheme Eligibility 2024

- The applicant should be living in the state of Odisha as a native/permanent resident.
- The applicant family should be a beneficiary of National Food Security Act (NFSA)/State Food Security Scheme (SFSS).
- If an applicant is not getting benefits under National Food Security Act (NFSA)/State Food Security Scheme, then also she will be eligible to apply provided her family income does not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.
- The age of the applicant woman should be 21 years or more and less than 60 years.
- The date of birth given on the Aadhar card will be considered as the final and verified date of birth.
- The applicant will be eligible only if she is 21 years or more on 01 July 2024.
- If a woman has not completed 21 years on 01 July 2024, then she will be able to avail the benefits of this scheme from the next financial year.
