Subhadra Yojana 1st Installment: Odisha government under the leadership of Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a new women welfare scheme. The name of this scheme is Subhadra Yojana under which the government will provide monetary support to about one crore women in the state. Through this scheme, Odisha government will provide Rs. 10,000 per annum to eligible women citizens directly into their bank account. As per the Subhadra Yojana SOP, in the upcoming five year from Financial Year 2024-25 to FY 2028-29, the government will grant monetary support of Rs. 50,000 to women belonging to poor or low income background.

About the Subhadra Yojana
As per the details shared by the honorable chief minister Mr. Mohan Charan Majhi, application for Subhadra Yojana will be open from 17th of September 2024. This date is special as it will mark the 75th birth date of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Once the application process is complete, the beneficiary of the scheme will receive their first installment into their bank account. As per the Standard Operating Procedure released by the state government, the first installment of Subhadra Yojana will be released on Rakhi Purnima and the second one on international women day.

Subhadra Yojana 1st Installment Amount
Under this initiative, women beneficiary will receive an yearly sum of Rs. 10,000 in two equal installments. In its first installment, beneficiary will receive a sum of Rs. 5000. The amount will be sent directly into their bank account through direct benefit transfer (DBT). About one crore women from across the state will receive monetary benefits of this yojana. To avail of this benefits eligible women should have a single bank saving account that should be linked with Aadhar in order to be eligible for electronic fund transfer.

Eligibility Criteria
To receive the benefit of 1st Installment under Subhadra Yojana, beneficiary will need to fulfil the eligibility conditions laid down by the state government. Eligibility criteria for Subhadra Yojana can be understood from the points given below.
- Beneficiary should have original residency in the state of Odisha.
- Only female citizen will be eligible for the scheme benefit.
- The women should be between the age group 21 and 60 years.
- Only married women will be eligible.
- The beneficiary should not be already receiving monetary assistance under any other scheme of the government.
- Women having a family member in government job or being a tax payer will not be eligible.
- The beneficiary should have saving bank account linked with Aadhar.

Financial Support

One can also check the bank account balance to confirm the installment receipt. For this you can perform a few easy steps either using UPI app or internet banking. Follow the below given steps to check your bank account balance and get statement.
- Open the internet banking facility connected with your bank account.
- On the home page, click on login to proceed further.
- Provide user id and password, fill in captcha and login.
- On the dashboard, click on Check Bank Account Balance option.
- You will see the bank balance.
- You can proceed further and download the bank statement carrying details about receipt of Subhadra installment.
