What is Subhadra Yojana?
Subhadra yojana is a women empowerment scheme through which State government of Odisha will provide monetary support to more than 1 crore women in the state. Every year, two installments will be released directly into the bank account of the beneficiary using Direct Benefit Transfer. From the financial year 2025-26, First installment of Subhadra Yojana will be released on International Women Day whereas second one will be released on Rakhi Purnima.
Over the period of 5 years, from financial year 2024-25 to 2028-29, government of Odisha is likely to pay 50,000 rupees to Subhadra Yojana Beneficiaries. Odisha Subhadra Yojana Eligibility Conditions 2024
If you fulfil the eligibility conditions laid by the Odisha Government for Subhadra Yojana, you can avail of the scheme benefits. Subhadra Yojana Eligibility criteria can be understood from the points given below.
- The applicant must have permanent residency in the state of Odisha.
- Women from families covered under National Food Security Act (NFSA) / State Food Security Scheme (SFSS) will be eligible.
- Those not covered under NFSA and SFSS can also apply if family income is not more than Rs. 2.50 lakh.
- The age of the applicant must be 21 or more and below 60 years. For age calculation, date of birth mentioned on Aadhar Card will be considered final.
- To get the scheme benefits for the financial year 2024-25, one must have completed 21 years of age as on 01.07.2024. It means the applicant must be born on 02.07.1964 or later and born on 01.07.2003 or earlier.
- If someone getting 21st completed after 01.07.2024, she will receive the scheme benefits for the remaining 4 years i.e. 2025-26 to 2028-29.
- Women citizens completing 60 years of age after 01.07.2024 will not receive the scheme benefits for the remaining years.

Exclusions
Apart from Subhadra Yojana eligibility criteria, Odisha government has also underlined ineligibility criteria under Subhadra Yojana. Women falling under one of the following categories shall not be eligible to avail of the scheme benefit.
- Women already receiving financial aid @ Rs. 1500 per month or Rs.18,000 per annum or more under any State or Central Government Scheme.
- Any women or her family member is:
- A current or former Member of Parliament (MP) or Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA).
- An Income Tax Payee.
- An elected public representative in any Urban Local Body or Panchayati Raj Institution (excluding Ward Member / Councilor).
- Government Employee (ASHA, Anganwadi Worker, Community Resource Person, Master Book Keeper, Group D employee, Sanitation worker etc. are exempted).
- Government Pensioners
- An elected / nominated / appointed representative in any Government Department or Undertaking or Board or Organization of Government of India or State Government.
- An owner of a 4-wheeler Motor Vehicle except tractors, mini-trucks, small commercial vehicles and other similar light goods vehicles.
- Women whose family land holding is more than 5 acres of irrigated land or 10 acres of non-irrigated land.
