What is Subhadra Yojana 2024?

The scheme will pave the way for women citizens in the state to receive financial assistance from the state government. Under this initiative, the Odisha government will provide monetary assistance to women belonging to BPL or low-income families. The Subhadra Scheme is a 100% state-sponsored scheme managed fully out of the Odisha government budget.
Under the scheme, the state government of Odisha will distribute INR 50,000 to each eligible beneficiary in 5 years. The scheme duration will be 5 years, from Financial Year 2024-25 to FY 2028-29. Every year, a sum of INR 10,000 will be credited to the beneficiaries’ bank account through DBT. The amount will be transferred to the beneficiaries in two equal installments.
