On 24th of August 2024, Union cabinet under the leadership of Shri Narendra Modi approved the Vigyan Dhara Scheme for students studying in class 11th and 12th. An outlay of ₹10,579.84 crore has been envisioned during 15th finance commission spanning FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26. In the upcoming years, this initiative will play pivotal role in developing scientific minds in higher secondary education level.
Through this initiative, the government of India will promote Science and technology development. For which proper infrastructure will be developed across the country. The scheme will lay emphasis on inclusion of Research and Development, Scientific exploration and deployment, capacity building for a developed science and innovation ecosystem in India.
